I am a Christian artist who wants to use my God given talent to bring Glory and Honor to my Heavenly Father. I want anyone viewing my work to come away refreshed in some small way....whether it is the music, art, or both!!
Enjoy your visit!!!
June began her interest in drawing when she was ten years old. She used her summer allowance to buy a set of pastels and sat on the dunes and painted the sky and surf.
In the third grade she won a prize for painting her Beagle, Pami . Her painting was hung at the John Wanamaker's Department store in Wynnewood, Pa. This award and recognition motivated her to continue her drawing and painting as a self-taught artist until her mid-forties.
INSTRUCTIONAL classes followed at the Yellow Springs Art Studio and West Chester Art Association. Many of her instructors were graduates of The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, where the classical approach to drawing and painting is practiced.
FIGURE DRAWING AND SCULPTURE became her focus. She studied under four different sculpture instructors over a three year period. The last course was an anatomy based sculpture course. This highly detailed work included study of the muscles, tendons, and bone structure. These life studies on the figure, enhanced her drawing and painting skills.
WATERCOLOR was June's medium of choice during the next stage of her development as an artist. She used the medium for her figure, still-life, and floral compositions.
PRESENTLY,ACRYLIC, MIXED MEDIUM ,and DIGITAL PAINTINGS are being used to create her work.
